Grace woman was borne out of a place of sadness and loneliness. I haven’t even gotten to half of this write-up and I’m already in tears. During this period of “loneliness”, I battled with my mind, emotions and spirit. Mind you, I had friends around me but I had never felt so alone in my life. I couldn’t explain how I really felt to anyone or what I was really going through. I didn’t understand it myself so there was no going around it. The only outlet I had at that time was God and His word. Cliché right, I know. You see, I had given my life to Christ a thousand times, but no form of salvation resonated with my spirit the way it did during this period in my life. I was alone with Jesus and all I had was Him. My life was at a point where I had no choice but to face God finally and stop running. Life didn’t make any sense, people didn’t make any sense and as silly as this sounds, I wasn’t making any sense either. God’s word was and is the only thing that made sense because it promised me things I knew no one could ever give me. It comforted me knowing that as lonely as I felt, I wasn’t alone.
It was during this period of deep conversations with God that mostly included questions and tears, that I found peace. During the month of April, while earnestly seeking the face of God. Grace woman was revealed to me. God showed me that more than ever, my blood was and is filled with grace. I am a child borne out of grace. That was all I had during this time. The verses, Ephesians 2:8NLT “God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God” and 2Corinthians 12:9 NLT “Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness”. So now I am glad to boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ can work through me”. He revealed to me that more than ever, grace is abundant during these trying times in the world because He knows just how earnestly the devil is working to steal the truth from His people. As a child borne out of grace, my purpose is to personify this grace and reveal it to the people of the world. To touch the hearts of the youth especially women who are going through hard times and suffering from emotional bondages and are too scared to speak about. I would like to say I am here for you but the truth is God is here for you and He came with unlimited grace, power and joy to set you free. There is freedom in Christ and whoever the Lord sets free, is free indeed.
- You are never alone; it’s what the devil wants you to believe. Jesus loves you no matter what. If you think you can imagine how much He loves you, multiply that that by 100! Haggai 1:13 NLT
- Grace is a gift from God, we didn’t earn it but yet it is ever available to us and even when we need it the most. Hebrews 4:16 NLT.
- 2Corithians 12:9 says “Each time, He said”. Not once, or during a particular occasion but each time, every time grace is available to you. You can’t fall from grace or to be too far gone in your life to key into grace, it is there for you every time.
- The wonderful thing about grace is how it’s at its peak when we are weak. *See the rhyme I did there? LOL, I digress* it is just when we are the point where we feel we can’t take it anymore, that the grace of God that is ever so sufficient comes to sweep us off our feet (2Corinthians 12:9). So do not be afraid to be weak in the presence of God because that’s where we make our exchange of our weakness for His strength.
